Khaby Lame

How do we add up Khaby Lame followers?

We add the public count on each verified account on the same day. A fan who follows him on two apps is counted twice, so the total is reach, not unique people. Our guide to follower count versus reach explains why, and the methodology page covers our checking schedule.

He had 163 million TikTok followers on 31 October 2026, with about 2.7 billion likes over 1,359 videos. He passed Charli D'Amelio on 22 June 2022 to become the most-followed creator on TikTok, at 142.1 million at the time. His count has been flat in recent weeks, which is normal for an account this size: new fans and inactive-account removals roughly cancel out.

Is Khaby Lame still the most followed on TikTok?

Yes. As of 2026 he is the most-followed user on TikTok. Our Charli D'Amelio profile shows the account he overtook.

His YouTube channel had 13 million subscribers on 31 October 2026, and about 5.06 billion total views. YouTube is a smaller part of his reach because most clips are short reposts of his TikToks as YouTube Shorts. Still, 13 million subscribers would make him a top creator in most countries on YouTube alone.

On Instagram, @khaby00 had 77,955,479 followers and 678 posts on 31 October 2026. Social Blade showed an engagement rate of 2.46%, which is strong for an account this big. Brand campaigns often run here because Instagram reels and posts are easy to buy as a package.

Khaby Lame: where does he live?

Khaby Lame grew up in Chivasso, a town near Turin in northern Italy, after his family moved from Senegal. He is an Italian-based creator and much of his TV work, such as Italia's Got Talent, is in Italy. He also travels widely for events such as the Cannes and Venice festivals.

His format is simple and copyable. A clip shows someone doing a task the hard way. Khaby does it the easy way, silently, and then holds out both hands. There are no words to translate, so the joke lands in Lagos, Lima and Lahore the same way.

What makes the format strong:

• No language barrier: silence lets every country share the clip.
• Built on duets and stitches: each video borrows an audience from the original.
• A fixed punchline: the shrug is instantly recognisable.
• Short length: most clips are under 30 seconds.
• A super easy fix: fans call the style "super easy Khaby Lame" because his answer is always the simplest one.

He has worked with Hugo Boss, Juventus FC and others. In 2022 his manager said he could earn up to $750,000 per post. In January 2026, a company agreed to buy his holding company for a reported $975 million in stock.

The most followed TikTok account in the world in 2026 is Khaby Lame's, at 163 million followers. That lead has held for more than four years. Big brand and club accounts, such as FC Barcelona, sit far behind on TikTok even though they lead on other apps.

Three things kept him on top:

• Consistency: he kept the same silent format instead of chasing every trend.
• Global appeal: his audience is spread across Europe, Africa, Asia and the Americas.
• Cross-posting: each TikTok also runs as a reel and a Short, so fans find him wherever they scroll.

His growth curve shows a classic shape. It climbed very fast in 2021 and 2022, when millions joined each week, and then flattened. Once an account passes 150 million, new followers mostly come from new TikTok users, not from people discovering him for the first time. That is why his daily numbers barely move now, even when a clip does very well.

For brands, a flat count does not mean falling interest. Views per clip still matter more than follower totals. A creator whose count has plateaued can still reach tens of millions of people with one good video, and Khaby's top clips regularly do. Treat the follower figure as the size of the stage and the views as the size of the crowd that actually turned up.

At about 254 million tracked reach he is ahead of most athletes and musicians on short video, though not on Instagram. Cristiano Ronaldo leads Instagram by a wide margin. On TikTok, no individual has more followers than Khaby. His growth is now slow because so many TikTok users already follow him. For more data guides, read our blog.
