Questions people ask

What is a good engagement rate?

It depends on the platform. On Instagram 3% or more is good, on TikTok aim for 5% or more, and on YouTube compare likes and comments against views rather than subscribers.

Why do smaller creators have higher engagement?

Smaller audiences are often closer communities. Engagement tends to fall as follower counts grow, so a micro creator at 5% and a mega creator at 1% can both be healthy.

Should I use followers or views?

Followers suit Instagram feed posts. Views suit TikTok, Reels and YouTube, where most viewers don't follow the account. Our TikTok calculator uses views.

How many posts should I average?

Use the last 10 to 12 posts and skip giveaways or viral outliers, which inflate the number.

Can engagement rate expose fake followers?

A very low rate on a large account is a warning sign. Pair it with the fake follower checker for a fuller picture.

Do saves and shares count?

They're strong signals but usually only visible to the creator. Ask for an insights screenshot if you want the full rate.

What engagement rate do brands need?

Most brands look for at least 1.5% on Instagram and 4% on TikTok before booking a paid post.

Where can I see engagement for many creators at once?

CreatorFanBase profiles show reach and CFB Rating, and the search filters let you shortlist creators by platform, country and niche.
