Lakai Sikai is a leading digital entertainment collective based in Sri Lanka that specializes in Sinhala-language comedy. The channel was founded by Lakmal Dharmarathna and Sikai to provide relatable humor for a local audience. It features a revolving cast of talented performers who bring various comedic archetypes to life.
The channel gained prominence through its unique ability to satirize everyday life and cultural norms in Sri Lanka. By creating high-quality sketch comedy that resonated with the local population, their videos quickly went viral on YouTube. This regional relevance established them as one of the most recognized digital brands in the country.
Their content consists of comedy shorts and sketches that depict humorous scenarios involving family, relationships, and social interactions. The videos are characterized by sharp dialogue in Sinhala and high production values for the web. Each upload typically features exaggerated characters that represent common figures in Sri Lankan society.
As a major digital brand, Lakai Sikai operates as a production entity that creates content for a massive subscriber base. They leverage their popularity to partner with local Sri Lankan businesses for integrated advertising and promotional campaigns. The collective functions as a modern media house specializing in viral digital marketing.
There is no reliable public estimate of the collective's net worth, but their revenue is driven by high-volume viewership. Income is primarily generated through YouTube ad revenue and sponsored content integrations with Sri Lankan brands. Their large audience makes them a valuable partner for advertisers looking to reach the Sinhala-speaking market.
Lakai Sikai is best known for their signature comedy sketches that have accumulated millions of views online. Their work is a staple of Sri Lankan digital media, often being shared widely across social platforms. While primarily focused on YouTube, their influence mirrors that of traditional television sitcoms in the region.
The primary platform for Lakai Sikai content is their official YouTube channel, where they host their library of comedy shorts. Their videos are also frequently shared and discussed on other social media platforms like Facebook. They remain a dominant force in the Sri Lankan comedy scene online.
The collective has reached a major digital milestone by surpassing about 1.5 million subscribers on YouTube. This achievement solidifies their position as one of the top creators in the Sri Lankan entertainment space. Their consistent viral success continues to grow their influence across the South Asian digital landscape.
Lakai Sikai has 1.5M followers in total, which puts this profile in the mega band (1m – 10m followers). The largest single audience is on YouTube with 1.5M followers — about 100% of the total reach.
Combined reach is the sum of followers and subscribers per platform. It is not unique people: audiences overlap, so treat it as a size indicator for shortlisting rather than a guaranteed audience.

Related questions
Lakai Sikai is based in Sri Lanka and posts in Sinhala. For brands that usually means the core audience follows the same market and language, with a long tail from everywhere else — big accounts rarely stay local.
The content sits in movies & tv and comedy, so the people watching are self-selected for those interests. That is the useful part of a niche profile: a mid-size account inside the right category often beats a much larger general account, because the audience already cares about the subject.
If you need the same audience profile in another market, the country and language lists on CreatorFanBase let you line up comparable creators side by side instead of guessing.
If you are shortlisting Lakai Sikai for a campaign, these are the facts worth carrying into the brief. Everything here is stored data, refreshed on a schedule rather than typed in once.
A practical sequence: check the lead platform matches where your buyers are, check market and language, open the official account to see recent posting frequency, then ask for a media kit and rate card directly.
Related questions
Lakai Sikai's counts come from the platforms themselves via Apify YouTube public channel and are refreshed on a schedule; the most recent check was Oct 14, 2026. When a platform blocks a read, we keep the last verified number and show where it came from instead of filling the gap with an estimate.
Large jumps are treated as suspect: a sudden drop past our safety threshold is held back for review rather than published, which is why the numbers here tend to be lower-drama than screenshots circulating elsewhere.
